Egmont provides ComCase-participants with a digital challenge!

As one of Scandinavia’s leading media companies, Egmont is well on their way to develop digital products and digital media. However, the company is on the same time aware of the fact that it not only comes down to making digital solutions, but just as much to brand themselves and communicate digitally.

Mika Bildsøe Lassen, Vice President of Corporate Communications at Egmont, has through many years been involved in the yearly ComCaseCompetition as both sponsor and presenter. She found that the digital branding of Egmont could be a good case for the competition:

“What could be more natural than to let the generation of ‘digital natives’ present themselves? I have followed ComCaseCompetition closely through several years and seen how many innovative and qualified solutions that have been brought to the table. We are a large competitor on the market and we want to give the students the opportunity to try a case which is both digital and international” says Mika Bildsøe Lassen.

This year’s case:

Rethink Media
The topic for ComCaseCompetition’14 is digital involvement. The case is developed by Egmont, Denmark’s largest media company and is a current and realistic communication challenge: Rethink Media – how to build a corporate brand proposition in a digital world of involvement and dialogue. Vice President of Corporate Communications, Mika Bildsøe Lassen, will introduce the case.

Egmont’s main communication challenges:

About ComCaseCompetition’14
ComCaseCompetition is a competition where communication students compete to come up with the best solution to a global case – this year provided by Egmont. Ten teams with a maximum of five students have 24 hours to provide their solution. Three teams will move on to the final and present their solution to a jury of communication experts and a wider audience attending the finals.

ComCaseCompetition is organized by The Danish Association of Communication Professionals, Young Communicators and Copenhagen Business School in collaboration with Egmont. The goal is, among other things, to bring communication students and businesses closer together and thus prepare the students for a future job as well as to clarify the student’s skills to the employers.
